Child Company of WINES OF CHILE
VFC Wine Group is a joint venture between two of the most influential winemaking families in Chile: Bouchon and Bisquertt, who together have more than 170 years of experience making wines. Our company consists of 3 wineries: Bouchon Family Wines, Bisquertt Family Vineyards, and VFC Wines.
Bouchon Family Wines:
Bouchon Family Wines has been making wines for more than 135 years. Originally from Bordeaux, Emile Bouchon was the first of the Bouchon family to come to Chile in 1887 and is responsible for transmitting the passion and love for making wines throughout our history. Four generations have passed since, and his legacy is more present and alive than ever.
At Bouchon Winery, we specialize in producing premium wine from old, unirrigated vines from the Maule Valley. All our wines aim to showcase the incredible terroir that is the Secano Interior (Interior Drylands). Very old granitic soils in different levels of decomposition provide a vertical texture for our wines, which are also sustainable and organic.
Heritage varieties such as Pais (Listan Negro), Semillon, and Carignan intertwine with international varieties such as Cab Sauv, Carmenere, and Sauv Blanc, making Bouchon a New World winery with a heavy connection to the Old World. We have received many accolades in the past years, such as 97 points (and a platinum medal) in Decanter World Wine Awards for Mingre 2019, 96 points for Granito Semillon 2020 in Tim Atkin, and 96 points in Decanter World Wine Awards for Canto Sur 2020.
Bisquertt Family Vineyards:
Located in the Colchagua Valley, one of the most renowned winemaking valleys in the world, the Bisquertt family has been making wines for more than 40 years and 2 generations. We were pioneers in Colchagua, being one of the first wineries to settle in the Marchigue sub-region and having contributed significantly to the development and positioning of the Colchagua Valley.
We produce fresh wines with great balance and fruit orientation, thanks to the Mediterranean climate, the special characteristics of our soils, and the closeness of our vineyards to the Pacific Ocean. All our wines are vegan and sustainable.
Internationally recognized by the most prestigious wine critics and competitions, Viña Bisquertt has received important accolades in their history, highlighting the latest 97 points (and a platinum medal) for Crazy Rows Carignan 2020 in Decanter World Wine Awards, and 95 points in Tim Atkin for QClay 2018, just to name a few.
VFC Wines:
We make sustainable wines that are in line with the exceptional terroir that the Maule Valley from Chile provides, with great respect for the environment, our employees, and the communities where we work. Our vineyards are located in the Maule Valley, specifically in the sub-valley of San Javier, planted on alluvial soils with a large quantity of rounded rocks and layers of clay in different levels of decomposition.
We specialize in quality wines and, with a strong marketing team, we have developed a large portfolio of brands with eye-catching labels and attractive marketing stories. We have many alternatives for packaging upgrade and offering a tailor-made experience when developing your products.
