Child Company of CHIANTI LOVERS & ROSSO MORELLINO
The farm was founded in 1960, thanks to the passion and foresight of founder Antonio Bulleri, the heart and soul of the initial ownership. He loved wine and even though his business was something else, he studied viticulture and planted the first vineyard in 1965, cultivating mainly Sangiovese. Then, with the second generation, Tiziana and Ezio took a more contemporary turn: the vineyards planted grew to 15 hectares, and international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Petit verdot, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc were also added, continuing the search for quality, especially in the vineyard, which is still managed in a conventional manner. The farm is located in the Colline Pisane, in the prestigious Chianti d.o.c.g. area, and produces mainly red wines, but also three wines based on pinot blanc, viognier and sauvignon blanc, as well as a rosé of sangiovese and petit verdot. Not being a noble family, the name of the winery is taken from local tradition. In fact, the 'Uccelliere' were the places where nets were placed to catch live birds and one of these aviaries was right inside the farm. The idea of passing on what the members of the family had inherited from the land was also reflected in the labels, where images of birds or animals that continuously populate the local fauna appear with each new vintage.
