Child Company of SPAIN-CASTILLA Y LEON REGION
LH Wines Family Estates was founded in 2014 by Laura Hoyos as a project devoted to representing outstanding Spanish family-owned wineries and supporting their long-term development in international markets.
More than a commercial portfolio, LH Wines Family Estates is a carefully built collection of estate-driven wineries united by a common philosophy: family ownership, own vineyards, indigenous grape varieties, and wines that speak clearly of place. The project brings together wineries from some of Spain’s most distinctive regions, working with varieties such as Verdejo, Tinto Fino, Tinta de Toro, Malvasía, Godello, Mencía, Gran Negro, Garnacha Tintorera, Palomino and Doña Blanca, as well as origin-focused categories such as Vino de Pueblo, Vino de Paraje and Vino de Parcela.
Bodega Tres Pilares is an estate-focused Verdejo winery rooted in La Seca, the historic heart of DO Rueda. Its vineyards lie at 750–850 metres on poor, gravelly canto rodado soils, shaped by a continental climate with strong day-night contrasts. The winery is fully committed to expressing Verdejo through place, old vines and time.
Tres Pilares Sobre Lías is the village expression: a Verdejo aged on fine lees, defined by tension, volume and a distinctive saline finish. Hermanos Fernández Gran Vino de Rueda comes from a single old-vine vineyard at the highest point of La Seca and is crafted through spontaneous fermentation and long lees ageing for gastronomy and bottle development. Mónica Fernández represents the most singular and experimental side of the estate, with amphora ageing, long oxidative maturation and an ancestral solera revived from 1952.
Bodega del Abad is a family-run estate winery rooted in the heart of Bierzo, led by Adriana Ulibarri. Its work with Godello and Mencía is guided by the extraordinary diversity of Bierzo’s geology — slate, quartz, sandy-loam and stony soils — which shape the freshness, texture and minerality of the wines.
The range moves from the more classic estate expressions to highly site-specific wines. Carracedo Mencía and Carracedo Godello offer a structured and terroir-driven interpretation of Bierzo based on old vines and complex soils. At the top of the range, San Salvador Godello Vino de Paraje, from a single site in Valtuille de Arriba, comes from 80+ year-old vines and low yields, delivering silky texture, marked minerality and long ageing potential. Tesín de la Campana Vino de Paraje, from a historic hillside in Valtuille de Abajo, expresses the depth and precision of old Mencía vines rooted in mineral soils.
Bodega y Viñedos Maires is a family-run estate winery in Toro, focused on expressing the identity of Tinta de Toro through old vineyards and a dialogue between tradition and innovation. The project is built around estate viticulture, old bush vines and a modern, precise understanding of the region.
The ADEMÁN range forms the core collection, where vineyard age, gesture and wine style come together to express Toro through different moments of life. Ademán Valdearanda Crianza comes from 55-year-old bush vines on mixed sand and gravel soils, offering depth, structure and harmony through longer ageing. Ademán Valdecarretas comes from 80-year-old ungrafted vines in a historic single site and is conceived for complexity, tension and ageing. Maires Colección de Familia is the most personal wine of the estate, a limited bottling from centenary vineyards, understood as a true family legacy.
Bodegas Montebaco is a high-altitude estate winery in Ribera del Duero, with vineyards surrounding the winery at 840–900 metres on clay-limestone soils. Its style is built around freshness, balance and precision, offering a more refined expression of Ribera rather than sheer power.
Montebaco de Finca is the estate expression, sourced from historic plots around the winery. Montebaco Cara Norte comes from a single north-facing hillside, the estate’s most extreme parcel and also its first certified organic wine. Montebaco Selección is only produced in top vintages from old vines, including vineyards around 80 years old. Semele is the most approachable introduction to the project, conceived as a fruit-driven yet authentic entry into the estate’s Ribera identity.
Fuentes del Silencio is a small, terroir-driven estate project rooted in the Jamuz Valley, at the foothills of Mount Teleno in León. The estate is built around the recovery of century-old vineyards — many of them pre-phylloxera — planted on extremely poor sandy soils rich in quartz, slate fragments and ancient alluvial deposits. This fragile geology, together with altitude and strong thermal contrasts, defines the freshness, tension and mineral depth of the wines.
Las Jaras – Vino de Pueblo is sourced from multiple old parcels across the valley and expresses the floral, wild and Atlantic-influenced character of the area through traditional field blends. Las Quintas – Vino de Paraje comes from selected northern plots with very old vines rooted in sandy-loam soils shaped by Mount Teleno’s cold air currents, giving a wine of structure, depth and ageing capacity. La Gándara – Vino de Parcela, from a historic vineyard in Herreros de Jamuz, offers the most precise and site-driven expression of the project.
Concejo Bodegas is a family estate rooted in the historic vineyards of Cigales, with a strong commitment to organic viticulture, estate-grown fruit and the recovery of authentic vineyard heritage. The project is based on old bush vines, many of them over 60 years old, cultivated under dry-farmed conditions and with a clear focus on origin.
Its personality is deeply shaped by the singularity of its soils, with an important presence of active limestone and gypsum, which bring tension, precision and length to the wines. The Carredueñas range represents the estate wines, including Carredueñas Rosado Sobre Lías, Finca Rosado and Finca Tinto, all built around a direct reading of site and variety. Concejo Reserva is a Vino de Paraje officially recognised by DO Cigales, while El Más de Concejo stands as the qualitative pinnacle of the estate: a microvinified wine from an 80-year-old high-altitude vineyard, produced only in exceptional vintages and defined by mineral elegance, depth and identity.
A curated collection of Spanish family estates, united by origin, identity and enduring distinction.
