Rickety Bridge Estate was first established in 1797. The original owner, Paulina de Villiers was the first female owner to plant grapes in Franschhoek. Our winemaking philosophy at Rickety Bridge is one of a gentle approach in the vineyards and minimal interference in the cellar. All grapes are hand harvested and only the best is selected for our wines.
