Wines of South Africa (WoSA) is a fully inclusive body, representing all South African producers of wine who export their products. WOSA, which was established in its current form in 1999, has over 500 producers on its database, comprising all the major South African wine exporters.
Anthonij Rupert Wyne was founded on the farm L’Ormarins in Franschhoek. Originally owned by the late Anthonij Rupert, who passed away in 2001, the farm was taken over by his brother Johann Rupert in 2003. It was Johann Rupert who constructed a state-of-the-art winemaking facility on the estate and the beginnings of what was to become a sprawling enterprise with a focus on terroir-specific wines.
Anthonij Rupert Wyne's portfolio of wines includes some of the country's most iconic brands, such as Anthonij Rupert Optima, Protea and L'Ormarins ranges. The company also produces several premium, small-batch wines under the Anthonij Rupert and Cape of Good Hope labels. These wines are known for their complex flavour profiles, refined elegance, and balance, and are prized by wine lovers and collectors around the world.
In addition to producing world-class wines, Anthonij Rupert Wyne is also committed to sustainability and preserving the natural beauty of the Franschhoek Valley. Bellevue Wines, situated on the sought after terroir of the Bottelary in Stellenbosch is one of South Africa's oldest Wine Estates, founded in 1701. Most notably Bellevue was the first Estate in South Africa to commercially plant and produce Pinotage. Rickety Bridge Estate was first established in 1797. The original owner, Paulina de Villiers was the first female owner to plant grapes in Franschhoek. Simonsig Family Vineyards is synonymous with the history of the South African wine industry, the Stellenbosch wine region, and the Malan family name.
These elements are intertwined in this family-owned farm, where the late Frans Malan produced the first bottle of our much-loved Kaapse Vonkel, South Africaʼs first Méthode Cap Classique made in the classic bottle-fermented style.

Springfield Estate is a family-owned business set in the heart of the Robertson Wine Valley in the Western Cape of South Africa. Descended from the French Huguenots who fled to the country in 1688, the Bruwer family mixes ancient traditions with modern technology, making terroir-driven wines using mostly natural yeast and minimal intervention. Springfield's motto, Made on Honour, affects every facet of their being and is the north star for all decisions made on the farm.
