Spain
Vintae is not just a wine company; it is also a new way of understanding wine.
With its roots in Rioja, this family business has spent the last two decades exploring wine-growing Spain, particularly its northern half, in search of vineyards and landscapes that would showcase the diversity and richness of our country’s wine-growing tradition. Its objective is clear: that each bottle should tell the story of the place where it was born. The search for freshness and vineyards that, due to their age, altitude, respectful cultivation, and climatic conditions, offer the possibility of making wine with the least amount of intervention characterizes the areas in which their most successful projects are based. This philosophy is based on the maxim of Raúl Acha, Vintae’s technical director, who firmly believes that wine is made in the vineyard.
Vintae has its origins in the passion for wine of José Miguel Arambarri Terrero, a businessman from La
Rioja who decided to return to his roots, resurrecting a family tradition that had been dedicated to vineyerds in La Rioja for generations. His vision inspired Vintae’s first projects in La Rioja, which grew
into what it is today. Vintae took its final form in 2008, with the incorporation of his two sons, Ricardo and José Miguel Arambarri Pérez.
In 2003 we created the Hacienda López de Haro wine collection, from 2004 we started exploring vineyards in Ribera del Duero (Bardos) and Ribera del Queiles (Garnachas Project), and 2006 was the year we built Bodega Hacienda Lopez de Haro in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, in addition to beginning to elaborate in Toro (Matsu - a tribute to winegrowers who have been working in the vineyard for generations). In addition, after years of existence in the DO Navarra, Vintae created in 2013 its first natural wine, without added sulphites, Le Naturel. Later Atlantis was to arrive or Classica, our collection of Rioja's “Gran Reservas”. That is why today we own more than 300 hectares of our own vineyards and cultivate 38 different varietals, whose grapes produce more than 35 different wines so that hundreds of thousands of people can enjoy them in more than 60 countries.
Therefore, we promise to continue on our quest to make the wonderful world of wine a territory open to anyone who wants to discover it. Because if we were to stop dreaming we would not be Vintae.
