I hope you all enjoyed the first day of Vinexpo Asia 2024. Yesterday's opening ceremony kicked off the event with a warm welcome, and it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and new connections being made.
Today we have another exciting day ahead of us. Buyers are of course an essential part of the event every year, and each one brings their own unique perspective based on the market they represent. On page 9 of the magazine you can read an exclusive interview with Cherry Dee Leguira from Vino Enoteca Manila Corp, who has come all the way from the Philippines. Ms Dee Leguira provides insights to offer a better understanding of the growing Philippine wine market.
We also have another full day of conferences, tastings and masterclasses ahead, and I recommend starting off with the "Roundtable with Industry Titans: Insights into the Future of China's Wine Market" which will give an overview of current trends and future opportunities in the region. This is a must-attend session for anyone interested in the potential of the Chinese market.
Sometimes it's easy to fall into the pattern of renewing the same connections and relationships you've built over the years. And of course that is what Vinexpo Asia is all about: relationships. But I encourage you to also explore new territory and move beyond your comfort zone: it's not every day you have so many wines, spirits and international contacts under one roof. Try something new!
