Last 2022 we were celebrating our 40th anniversary. Ribera del Duero is a dream of the people of the vineyards and the wine that has become an international success story.
A project, a dream, the desire of a group of vine growers and cooperative members, people from rural areas who lived by and for the vineyard. They were so proud of the potential of the grapes they cultivated and the quality of the wine they produced in primitive infrastructures that they decided to pull the necessary strings, to knock on the necessary doors, to set up a Regulatory Council and a quality brand that ended up bearing the name of Ribera del Duero.
More than 40 years later, today, RDD is a success story, it is the economic and social engine of a rural region that includes villages in Soria, Segovia, Valladolid and Burgos. Today, it is an emblem of Castilla y León and a great example of Spanish know-how. Currently 318 wineries and 7,416 winegrowers are part of the Regulatory Council.
