To bring the mellow and profound flavor of this high-grade sake and share it with the nation, brewers, politicians, and investors gathered in 1922 (Taisho 11) and founded Akita Meijyo Co., Ltd. We were founded in Yuzawa City, which was not only known for its love of sake, but also for being called the “Nada district of Tohoku”, which is a famous sake production area. Our number one sake brew, “Bishu [tasty sake] Ranman”, is endorsed by sake-drinkers, and has become known nationwide.
