Monte del Frà has a unique Italian history led by the forefather. The family values are strong and concise: loyalty to the land, its appreciation, and an increasingly sustainable agriculture. These vineyards are real “cru”, where some of our fantastic wines originate and have become a reference point for quality Italian wine, according to some of the most prominent international wine critics. Massimo Bonomo, who in the mid twentieth century rented his first group of croplands on the hills surrounding Garda Lake, in the province of Verona. This is the place where some of the most renowned Italian wines originate.
Year after year, harvest after harvest, those first hectares have become one of the most extensive vineyards in Verona: 137 properties and 68 leased hectares distributed across all the main Verona denominations: Valpolicella, Custoza, Lugana, Soave, and Bardolino.
After sixty-six years, the management of Monte del Fra’ remains under the control of the Bonomo’s family. The second generation is represented by two brothers, Eligio and Claudio, followed by the third generation: Marica, Silvia, and Massimo.
